A heartfelt thank you . . .

to all of you who voted for Galilea and offered so much encouragement and compliments. She did not win the competition but when she arrives back in southern New Mexico in late March, Galilea will be on exhibit in both our local bead store and a marvelous art gallery in downtown Las Cruces.

Participating in this competition was an amazing experience and you may be sure there will be more beaded art dolls in my future.

Galilea is still my favorite of all the dolls. She's got a great stance, is beaded superbly, the story was great and I totally enjoy looking at her.

I hope you take pics of her as she travels to the exhibit in the LBS and in the gallery.

Oh, she was my favorite too, and I did vote for her! What gallery will she be in? I'm a short distance away in El Paso, and I'd love to see her in person!

Kathy, you piece is wonderful & want to tell you that I think it is so full of imagination and the spiral galaxy were just superb imagery. I'm so happy that it will be in exhibits and galleries. Congrats for being a semi-finalist.

You doll was amazing!!! Sometime winning is not what it is all about but the journey. I know that there was a journey that you took while making her and it is the real prize.

I left my note on the main blog but in case you don't see it I think you did a great job and you should be mighty proud of yourself. I would find it so hard to enter a competition and you scored pretty well in it. Who did win? It would be interesting to know whose they thought topped yours.

It good to know that others wil still be able to enjoy her soon.

She is a marvelous art doll and should have been crowned the winner, in my humble opinion. How wonderful that she will soon be on display though in such great venues! I'm sure she will garner compliments wherever she travels!

Kathy -- Do you know yet when Galilea will be on display in Las Cruces. I have friends visiting from out of town this week, and we'll be driving through Cruces. We'd love to see her, if she's back home!
